Being in Becoming

Great minds?

I have this thingybob (scientific term) hanging from my rearview mirror - in its original life it was a name tag holder, but because I like both the beads and the occasion of which it reminds me, I ditched the name tag and kept the holder. I stick words/phrases on/in it that represent concepts I wish to keep in my mind/heart as I drive around.

Serendipity. That's the word I've had up since June, since I found out about a fellowship that I was set to begin. I love the word itself, and the sense of beauty, hope, peace and light around it. It seems to me like a word with power and mandate - much given, much expected.

Serendipity. That's the word that was used earlier this week by a great mind to describe the very same experience in which I find myself for the next year.

Don't you love it when you're thinking one thing, and someone else thinks the same thing, and it somewhat validates the existence of your thought?

Serendipity.
