Montana De Oro Psychedelic

Today was the second day of my Photoshop for Photographers workshop at the Light Photographic Workshops in Los Osos, CA.

Today I taught the class a digital version of the Harris Shutter Effect. In short, three exposures of the same scene are captured and then combined using a different color channel from each exposure. The effect results in normal exposure for anything that remains stationary, but any elements of the image that are moving will be rendered in different colors.

In this case, rocks look normal, but the moving water was rendered multicolored since three different color channels weres used to construct a single image.
