Blipmeet

Today's the day ......................... to meet for coffee

That was the plan - Mr and Mrs Longshanks were dropping in for a coffee and gladders was coming over as well from Arnside. It would be the first time that gladders and I had met the Longshanks, although we'd all been blippers for quite a while.

I have to admit to a certain amount of nervousness as the allotted hour approached. Would they be the way I thought they were? Would there be awkward silences while everyone desperately tried to think of something to say? Would they be very highbrow and only want to talk about F-stops or Bonaparte's gulls?

Would they heck?! Within one second of meeting them - it was as if we had known them for ever. The coffee was drunk, followed by lunch - and then before we knew it, they had been here for seven hours.

It was so good to meet them and get to know them better. I hope we get to meet up with them again before too long. Just one thing though - they said that they'd left RCB in the car. He was too shy to come in or something?! Let's hope I get to meet him properly next time ................................
