A Hopper of the Grass
A quik blip. I have so much to do...and not enough
time to do it. I work on not being such a pro-crastinator, but I don't work at
it hard enough.
My trip starts tommorrow, and my planning needs to
be finished up. A lot of scribbling on note-book paper that needs to be neatly
written up, and placed in the atlas. Also...my Sunday School lesson is nowhere
near done. Sometimes...with kids...you can fool them with stories or
treats...but not so with adults. They can tell when you are
unprepared.
Into the backyard I went. It was strangely
quiet...except for one of my doggies. Niya, the chihauhau, insists on sitting in
the sun when it's 91 in the shade. She was panting away.
The grass-hopper hopped onto this plant. Everytime
I see one...I am reminded of the old TV show Kung Fu, starring David Carradine.
His teachers said to him..."You have learned very well...Grasshopper." Then he
would go out, and pummel someone into submission. Looking back....I can't
believe I watched it.
My site may be vacant for a few days. Some of the
mom-and-pop places we stay at have never heard of a computer...let alone WI-FI.
If I can't keep up on a daily basis, eventually I'll back-blip. Our first major
stop is the 60-foot faces of Lincoln, T. Roosevelt, Washington, and Jefferson.
Mt. Rushmore. Can't wait.
