the start of the rest
"Don't sharpen pencils all around the house as you walk about."
O... kay...
Sound advice from the little DON'Ts for husbands booklet-thing which found its way into the wee leave-a-message envelopes we stuck on the tables yesterday along with a companion booklet for the corresponding wives. Not sure who left it... possibly Alison & Will or Ed & Tamsin or Chris & Tracey.
Many many thanks for all the comments for yesterday. I eventually found some time and a properish internet connection to add the words to it today in between various packing and repacking and poking at presents and wishing people safe journeys and so on which have made today go past almost as fast as yesterday though the 20:00 to 23:00 sections has finally slowed down a little. Found a little time to go through some of the pictures too but no time to start editing or linking.
Also found a little time to pop downstairs to the handy bag-weight-checking machine and found that the biggest bag is only 600 grammes beneath the theoretical limit; there is spare weight but not spare space in the other bag so it might be a case of having to wear both our coats and walking boots onto the aircraft to avoid any nasty surcharges if we get a pernickety check-in-person.
