Knock knock

So there we were on the fifth floor at lovely Birkbeck College, with a bunch of wonderful students working on their End of Module Assignment, deep in how to structure their reports on web services, XML schema design and BPEL process simulation exception handling - when there was a knocking at the window. Just the window cleaner wiping away the foam to give us a better view of the School of Oriental and African Studies, as they now call what was the India Office Library in my step-grandfather's day when he moved there from the chair of Sanskrit at Allahabad University ...

I went for a walk later.
