Jimmy Soul is so wise. I have had this big ugly lamp for the entirety of my college career and it has served me well. Not only is it a wonderful conversation piece, it was a great value! $8 at the Salvation Army, one of my amazing thrift store finds. As I'm mentally preparing to move to California in 4 months, I am deciding what I will take, what I will leave, and what I will sell. I haven't decided about this lamp, among other things. I tell myself that they are just material possessions, but I like these things. Is it wrong to get attached to inanimate objects? Like ugly lamps?
