early autumn....fall....

I so remember gathering beech nuts and roasting them as a little girl...but it never happened before late september..early october....the pavement round the corner is covered with them...but most are empty shells...has it been far to dry for the nuts to grow....??? next it's the conkers.....wow!!! it'll be Christ-mas soon........:):)
