Thank you, Mr Farmer
We often go out for a walk or a run on the 'harewalk'. We call it the 'harewalk' as before they built the by-pass, a few years ago, we often saw brown hares as we walked there. We don't see so many of them these days. The road sectioned through the much bigger fields so now it is not so safe or desirable for the hares.
We had a chat with the farmer in this tractor, we often pass the time of day. Today, he saw my camera, and said that his daughter took a lot of photos and that we were welcome to have a stomp around in his fields. So, we headed over a field to what we'd always believed to be a small copse. It turns out that it is a field edge ditch, with a few trees growing up behind it. Lovely trees, including a pear tree with windfall pears.
We turned around and saw a new perspective on a very familiar landscape.
