Wild Cherry Plums

A friend arrived this morning with a basin full of Wild Cherry Plums from a neighbour's garden. I often buy plums from the supermarket to stew as one of our favourite desserts, but they don't always have that much flavour, so we planted a Victoria Plum tree in our garden last year. We may get a couple of dozen from it later this month.

However, the basin-load needed rinsed and sorted. A few pounds for jam and the remainder stoned for stewing.

Before all this, they had to be photographed.
