Orkney

Well we made it to the beautiful island of Orkney. An early start from Inverness but worth it. Along drive but the coach was comfy and plenty to see. John O'Groats was a bit of a dump and must have been a dissapointment to many foreigners! but wow do the Orkadians know how to lay on a good tour. Saw the standing stones of Brodgar, Steness, the Churchill barriers, numerous sunken warships, Skara Brae and its house, St Magnus cathedral and finally the Italian Chapel which was my prime reason for going there.

A fantastic time was had by us both and it would be nice to return for a while longer!
