The Wetness

Very hot today, so we resorted to a water pistol fight. Two each, only rule no battling on the road.

All changed when a friend showed up with proper big water pistols. Therefore the next logical step was chasing each other with buckets of water. All thoroughly soaked. I also got the sewing machine set up and running properly this morning, and fixed two things.

We spent the afternoon loafing in the village library, reading about Henry VIII - girl's favourite subject right now - and I returned for half an hour of sawing off the more extreme bits of our front garden hedge.

For the evening, I have beer, curry is simmering, and I'm trying to decide what to watch.
