How quickly the weather can change. Yesterday morning was so warm that I removed a couple of layers of clothing. This morning there was snow. But it was the best kind of snow- about 5 cms that had settled gently, and not so heavily that it broke branches. Everything was transformed, especially the deciduous trees. And it didn't hang around. It was soon mostly gone in the warm sunshine.

Blossoms that were so lovely yesterday are looking a bit battered after the hail, but the snow didn't seem to damage them further. It's the harsh frosts that will surely follow that will be the biggest threat to my fruit crop.
