While on my runs

The rising sun

On this second day of spring, the morning was crisp, cool and clear. The sky almost cloudless. Great for running, and I even was able to forego the gloves, although my thumbs tingled by the end.

This picture of the rising sun really appealed to me, because the half orb was able to be looked at and take a photo of through the intervening trees. Two and a half minutes before, no sign of the sun was visible, and the cloudless sky was much the same colour as this. Only a minute or so later, I couldn't look towards the east for risk of being dazzled.

Other than the lamp post, there is nothing to suggest that this was taken from a central city (fringe) street. The photo is as it came from the camera.
