Glad I don't commute anymore. The majority of drivers are just plain bad. I remember when I used to drive the M20/M25/M23 every day in rush hour, 120 miles a day, and there was an understanding between us fellow daily motorway users. A camaraderie. If there was a tailgating middle lane hog who didn't understand the rules of the club, we'd just nod knowingly to each other, sigh a little and know that they'd soon learn. I actually used to use the commute as an opportunity to relax before work...
So it was a long day before any chance to blip - finished in Manchester at 6pm so by the time I got home and ate it was getting dark.
One of the many good things about blipping is it gets you out and about. I love walking but after a brain stretching day you sometimes need a little encouragement! I couldn't do a third 'Home Blip', nothing wrong with them but eventually I'm going to run out of things to blip in the house. The Kindle's already had a showing and we're only 40 blips in!
Time for a Blip Hunt.
This guy knows how I feel. I could see it in his eyes. As I knelt down on the pavement to inaugurate him into the annals of Blip, he was about to scoot off but he paused and I felt a connection. Like he too knew what it was like to hunt down slugs and hopefully negotiate crazy drivers and get back home in one piece. I didn't get the hunting slugs bit but the connection was still tangible.
Our spiky hero gave me a nod as if to say 'OK Man. One photo OK?'
'OK Spikester. Say Cheese!'
