First morning of autumn

"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" , to quote the first line of Keats' "To Autumn" on the first official day of Autumn, though some mark that on the Equinox rather than today.

This was the (misty) view up towards Glendaruel at 7.30 this morning, as I left for Edinburgh. Dusk was turning to night when I got back twenty minutes ago !

If I had turned to my left, just where it took this, I would have had a reprise of my entry from exactly ten months ago - though much less sun was in evidence today , as has been now officially the case for the whole of this summer !
