Solitary Sailfish
Today was a first for me. We dived Dahab's Blue Hole (not a first) but this time headed out into the blue, away from the reef, and were treated to a very brief visit from a rare solitary sailfish.
It appeared out of nowhere, checked us out in a split second, then disappeared as swiftly as it had arrived. I just managed one shot before it was gone.
These creatures are arguably the fastest fish in the world and rare in the Red Sea.
Today was a good day to dive!
