We're really lucky in Kendal because we have a proper fish shop. The kind where you can see all the fish on display and the people behind the counter know what they're talking about.

You can ask them how to cook certain fish and for recipe ideas for ones that you're not familiar with. You always get a good welcome and nothing is too much trouble.

This lad - whose customer service is second to none - saw my camera and offered to pose. I was only too pleased to accept his offer .....................!
