Heart stopping
I spent most of today at a meeting at one of our local hospitals and, useful though it was for work purposes, it didn't provide me with much material to blip - with the exception of this trolley load of dummies used for CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training purposes.
Clearly the dummies serve a potentially life-saving purpose but seeing them stacked and caged like this was quite disturbing. They looked to me like bodies recovered from a mass execution or atrocity. Amongst other things they made me think of the estimated 50,000 people currently missing in Libya - possibly in secret detention facilities without access to food or water. Or in mass graves yet to be discovered.
Blimey. Sorry to be so downbeat. I'll try to be more cheerful tomorrow!
