Bracklinn Falls Bridge
A drive to Callander today. The shopping wasn't successful but the walk was, about an hour up the west side of the Keltie Burn and another hour down the east side. The Keltie runs north towards Ben Vorlich and in the past it was possible to follow this route all the way to Loch Earn, but a bridge north of here was washed out a few years ago and I'm not sure if it has been replaced.
This is the new bridge over the Bracklinn Falls, a short walk from Callander. The old one was another victim of flooding (which is pretty amazing when you see the drop below the bridge and the level that the water must have increased in order to do the damage). The drop below the bridge is spectacular.
It was a beautiful still day, about 16 degrees, high cloud with a few gaps, almost no wind. The trees have started to turn - Autumn is definitely on its way.
