About time!

I've been cultivating several things during the summer, and it looks like one of my sunflowers is about to bloom! Might actually be a little more succesful than my carrots!!! You can see the yellow of the petals inside the head of the flower in this photo.

So, it looks like it's about to come out. And I'm about to go away for a week. I have a horrible feeling that all my sunflowers will decide to bloom while I'm away, and be dead by the time I get back! Oh well - I'll try to save at least one to get seeds for next summer and hope they'll come out a bit earlier.
