Olympic hopefuls
Son #1 and #2 respond to the blip cycling group request for pictures of them and their bikes.
Son #1 rides a nice Giant that was left outside a house with a, 'Please Take' sign on it. It has already seen action in the Alps and replaces his better looking but singlespeed and smaller Ridgeback (shiny silver).
Son #2 rides the bike that Son #1 started on. He loves it and it certainly worked for Son #1. By the time he got on a bike with pedals he was up and away within minutes.
Seeing Son #1 on the bike paths in France this summer made me really proud. He had to know when to stop at roads, make room for other cyclists, general awareness and control. He also learned that performing emergency stops in front of Dad with Son #2 on a bike seat doesn't put you top of the treat list.
Fixing a bike seat to my brand new Cube was painful for me but it had to be done. Son #2 loved it.
My bike and I will have to wait. I am going to have to make a conscious effort not to make all blips bike related!
Back to work tomorrow!
Run: 8 miles@9.06 min/mile - glorious, glorious new shoes!
