A nice surprise..

Walking through the parking lot to the field where Carter has practice tonight, I stumbled across a community garden which was full of sunflowers. Some were clearly on their last legs but many were still beautiful like this one. I loved the very dark center of this with the water drops. Made me think of fellow blippers seniormoments and her beautiful series she did on sunflowers. I had to photograph it.

Practice was chilly tonight which is NOT normal for an August practice. I had on a sweatshirt and a hot cup of tea with me. This was the first practice I had gone to of Carter's but unfortunately only saw a few minutes of it as my "gift of gab" as my husband will tell you got the best of me. From what I saw though, Carter had greatly improved from last year and he really hustled out there and thank goodness there were NO POWER RANGER moves out on the field. Oh last year had some embarassing moments!
