Translation is easy

Learning an entire new language for the sake of a weekend in a foreign city is of course impractical. However, a Jarvis should at least master the basic pleasantries and the ordering of beer in the language of every destination country - in this case, Latvia. You'd be surprised how effective a simple "prieka!" (cheers!) can be. The problem comes when trying to remember the name of some bars that you might want to revisit - which is where Tris Viri Laiva (Three Men in a Boat, with a Dog) in Riga comes in handy.
