Canalside Crane

I don't know if this is still in use - I can't really see that it can be although it looks as though it is still maintained. There is a small private road running alongside the canal at this point - from the crane to the nearby public road which crosses the canal by bridge. It might have been possible to transfer from a barge straight to a cart but there is almost no commercial traffic on these canals now.

If I find out any more or anything different I'll blip it again from somewhere else with more information.
