Monaco - New Zealand Style

I went up to Nelson today with kiwilizzie for a couple of meetings. After the second meeting we took a detour around to the Waimea Estuary in the hope of finding kingfishers. There were a few about but they spent the whole time taunting me and flying around just out of focus range. I did take a few shots of them, just because I was there, but they were all horrid and I've just deleted them all.

This is the only other photo I took. The gardens in some parts of Monaco (pronounced Mon-Ah-Co here) go right down to the estuary so this is the tail end of someone's garden trailing down to the water's edge. I like the way the flax is pretending to grow out of the toitoi.
