Post-ex 12

Back to the office and getting back into the swing of things.
It was nice to get an excuse to do some research on bones that were not sheep, cow or pig; one of the contexts I was examining was a load of mixed rubble which seemed to derive from the old Anatomy Theatre of Edinburgh University. There were some dissected human bones and some unusual creatures, some of which had signs of having had the bones wired together as display skeletons.
These bird skulls, as well. I am not sure what they are, exactly, but at the moment my best guess is a heron and possibly an osprey...
More research needed.

After work we met the lovely Sands for a natter and a bite to eat at the SMWS. Yes, Sam, she nicked all my chips!
