Day 1 of the kitchen project and it's definitely too late to change my mind now. The builders have stripped out the old units and the electrician has declared the wiring illegal and unsafe, so he is replacing it right round. No surprise really, the previous owner was an enthusiastic but incompetent DIY freak. Tomorrow hopefully the repairs to the walls will get under way.
