Wow, it was busy

All day Sunday was horrendously busy, slight slackening when displays were on but mostly like in the photograph.
Everyone was very enthusiastic about the appearance of the Vulcan after a 3 week lay off due to a fuel leak which had been repaired and confirmed for a display today.

She was due at 15:25 and at 15:20 we were informed that during a practice display over RAF Cottesmore a severe hydraulic leak had occurred and she was forced to put down at RAF Coningsby.
The ground crew took a towing arm to get her into a hangar and repair work will start on Tuesday.
Very disappointing of course but everyone was just grateful that the crew did get her down safely.
