I didn?t intend on doing this 40 before 40 challenge today, but I found myself drawn to it. I had ?to learn pi to 40 decimal places? on my list, not because it serves any useful purpose, but just to give my brain a workout.

I?m in Edinburgh in a couple of weeks time and I intend on picking up some caches whilst I?m there. The first caches I looked at were two puzzles I?d been given by Ruth. But I wasn?t getting very far with them so I browsed other puzzle caches in the area. I found one called ?The cache of Pi? I?ve not solved that one either, yet, but I stopped puzzle solving for the moment and tried to learn these numbers instead.
