I have a theory
For a year or two, I've mused over a theory. A theory that has the potential to change lives. To bring clarity and relief for thousands.
You enter a public convenience.
There's three cubicles. All are available for use - but which one do you use?
I think the users of each cubicle have a particular personality. Or at least a particulat reason for being there.
The first door is just for urgent users. Those with a pressing need for relief. If you aren't in that category, just sail on by.
Next, the middle door - that's for those who want to get in, so the necessary and move along when they are done. No sense of urgency, but respectful enough of others to leave the hot seat for those who *really* need it.
Finally, the third door. This is for the daydreamer. The skivver. The dawdler. The one who is in no rush to return to work. The one who wouldn't mind falling asleep, despite the challenges they may face in being able to walk quickly should, say, a fire-alarm be set off.
So there you have it. A theory. Without any scientific study, no analysis or facts. Just a hunch.
If you have the option, consider which door is most suitable and make the wise choice.
That said, if there's only one door and you gotta go - then just get involved and we won't judge your motives.
