Itsy bitsy spider climbing up the spout
down came the rain and washed poor Itsy out!

This stunning creature has been busy spinning her/his beautiful and inticate web all day and is quietly waiting for its evening delivery of food to arrive.

We are hurtling fast towards autumnal days and nights in this part of the world at least a month early.

The geese have returned from their summer grazings in Greenland and Iceland at least 4 weeks ahead of their usual schedule so we are wondering what kind of winter is in store for us.
