Flypast

So today after a stag do weekend my Mum and Dad treated to me a trip to excellent Yorkshire Air Museum. Just for fun there was a Spitfire flypast and I managed to snag this shot.

The Spitfire is one of my favourite aircraft to watch, the founder of the De Havilland Aircraft company said "if an aircraft looks right then it usually flies right" which is true of many of their aircraft and true of the Spit.

As it roared over us and pulled up you got the flash of sunlight on the wings and the noise of the Merlin engine.

It also proved that I don't need a bigger lens than 200mm for air shows :o)
