Did some Zumba today and learned how shake my booty :) highlight of the day: Let Me Speak was tonight! It's a performance that selected upperclass students put on during Orientation telling their personal memoirs. It's used to introduce first years to the diversity on campus and encourage dialogue about uncomfortable subjects. I thought this year's performance was AMAZING. Most of the stories were really touching and I was impressed by the raw emotions that people were willing to share and put on display. After, I helped facilitate a talk back and was again impressed, this time by the amount of conversation that was happening between the first years. They were so willing to talk about what they had just seen and share their own stories. It was a beautiful night.
