New Cock on the b.lock

After the demise of our trusty old cockerel last week it was decided we should have another one to keep the bickering females in their place. Fortunately this chap was surplus to requirements so he is now with us. He's a Sussex, only 4 months old so may take a while to command the respect of his harem.
We kept him seperate yesterday and last night but somehow he managed to wriggle through a gap in the make shift pen and was amongst the others this morning. There's plenty of room to keep away from the others should they get stroppy, but he seems to be happy enough.
