After Irene There is Grace

Hours getting home from work after double shifts, no relief. My co-workers could not get to the hospital. Floods everywhere. But despite it all driving here and there in heavy, s-l-o-w traffic, only to turn around again and again, floods, rivers on the streets, cars submerged under water. All is well. Amazingly my house was for the most part OK. When i turned onto my block it looked like another world, hardly touched. Ok, my basement is wet and i have to throw away a lot of stuff - i probably need to do that anyway. I feel graced. Gratitude is the word of the day.
