It Doesn't Taste Like Peppermint

I worked a few more hours cleaning windows in the basement today before deciding I needed to get out of the house for a blip. I decided to go to the Whatcom Humane Society Dog Days of Summer at Lake Padden. The local paper listed the starting time but not the finishing time. I soon found out -- the official closing announcement was made just as I arrived, at about three o'clock. I walked around the field and got a few quick shots of a couple of dogs practicing on an agility course and it was all over.

I consoled myself with a quiet pint at the Copper Hog, followed by a scoop of cardamom ice cream at Mallard.
