A Surprise Moth

It's a hummingbird moth, I do wish the photo was just a bit better. They seem to show up in the bright sunshine and I had a bit of a glare on the photo. They never seem to listen to me about coming around under better photographic conditions ha..

Well, I believe Irene has left the building. Actually in my part of Virginia, we stayed hot & dry. Funny how just a few hours away how different the weather can be. Hopefully the damage from her won't be as bad as it could have been.

A definitely cool off today thanks to Irene. The humidity has left and a bit of a breeze. This afternoons temperature was around 80F (26c).
