Meet Shrek

"Shrek" is the name my friend G has given to the palm tree resident in her back yard. This palm has been there much longer than she has (10 years). This tree is in the direct center of the yard, and I imagine that its original gardener-enabler thought it a great idea to plant the small, one-gallon can-contained palm in the sunlight. Now it is the tree which must be obeyed, and which literally overshadows the full yard.
