The men of Lonach.

The 170th annual Lonach Gathering is being held today at Bellabeg, Strathdon. The Highland Games will start later in the day but at 8 am the march of the Men of Lonach has just got under way. Led by Sir James Forbes of Newe, Bart, Patron of the Lonach Highland & Friendly Society, the Highlanders will march around the area for some 6 miles, stopping 7 times for a wee dram, before returning to the games arena some time after 1 o'clock.
You would be well-advised to obey the Give Way sign!
