Thistle Down

By Ethel

Love

Some powerful force,
Bears me up above.
It forms sweet words upon my tongue,
To speak to you of love.

And with my breath proclaim,
How only you...I see.
How no one else could also see,
Or with me wants to be.

To see you walk before my eyes,
Comes a feeling, I cannot hide.
And to meet the way you always smile,
Ever melts me deep inside.

This thought of you is ever mine,
I cannot let it go.
It runs the channels of my heart,
And is always there to show.

How can I...ever conquer it,
Will you...just love me, too?
For the inner-feeling in my heart,
Is ever, ever true.
