Make your own kind-a music ....

I'm so lucky to belong to a group of chums who just love making music together. We are at many different skill levels, but what we have in common is enthusiasm and a desire to have fun with what we have.

This has been a pretty shitty week for me, one way and another, but all is well now. Today has been lovely even though it didn't go completely as planned. Rol went off to do a wedding celebration, which took most of the afternoon and early evening and the plan was that me and Neil, a chum from choir would go off to a cabaret evening as part of the Elm Hill Festival. Wimps that we are, Neil and I decided not to brave the torrential rain and stayed in round ours after supper chatting and having a few glasses of wine. And got round to talking about how his ukelele classes are going. Very well indeed. In fact, he taught me a few chords and left me with this bit of 'homework' to do ....

Rol's wedding celebration went well, but I'm not sure how well he'll receive the news that I'm going to be twanging away on the uke that he abandoned a year or so ago .....
