Soaring Wild Mustang

Surrounded by chieftain from two different tribes, this wild mustang soars through the open range.

I don't know of what metal these statutes are forged, but my first impression was iron. But the colorful beading on the chiefs' dress (see large) and some of the contrast would lead me to believe it might be brass.

It's been brutally hot here. It was 108F yesterday and we broke a record. Today might be worse. We really could use some rain. We've been told that chances improve next week but the monsoon usually starts to wane in September. We'll see...
