Red Rose with bee

Although our own roses are virtually gone I did have a last swansong of rose pictures when we visited the Amisfield Park today as part of the Open Gardens of Scotland scheme. The roses planted are similar to those which used to be there in the 18th Century and apart from looking gorgeous, they also smelled heavenly. The bee apparently agreed with me!
