I believe Anima translates as soul in Greek.
Animation being the art of bringing things to life.

Smurfs have always captured my imagination, where as the latest LloydsTSB cartoon characters just want to make me wretch.

Perhaps it's because smurfs lived egalitarian lives as polyglots in a spirit of collaboration, where as solelessly transparent corporate hi-jacking doesn't?
