What is with this weather?! Torrential rain yesterday and through the night. Then woke up to sunshine then as we were about to go out for a stroll the heavens opened and the street was flooded. 10 minutes later - blue sky and sunshine! When Lauren was driving over here she had blue skies, sunshine and dry roads behind her and storms directly ahead. "You could almost see the join" she told me! Weird.

This gorgeous Rose which has after 11 years flowered for the first time can be seen just above the window ledge and I love to see it from the comfort of the sofa. It is so delicate but stands it's ground against the elements today. I hope all the festival goers at the local Leeds Festival are coping equally as well! Poor things - although I think most will be used to this by now. Mud baths and wellies. Hmmm. Although this was me in a previous life - off roading. More bearable though surrounded by a Land Rover which provided more protection than a Pac a mac!

Still hope they are having a wild time and that I get to hear the music again tonight from the comfort and warmth of my bed :-)
