Blown it

Today saw my team play our final football match of the season. It was a gorgeous day. It really felt like spring has arrived. The first game seems such a long time ago now, and it sure was a far cry from those wintery Saturday afternoon matches .

Middle-table mediocrity was confirmed today with a reasonably undeserved 2-0 loss. Too often we play at the level of our opponents. Our final league position befits our general demeanour.

And so then, the whistle blows on another season.

As with every ending season the question is asked - one more year next year?
