Present Rose

My very dear friend called round for supper - green thai curry - very delicious. We had good chats and made good plans for the next few months.

She brought me some veg from her greenhouse - cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes. She also brought some bud roses from her mum's garden. Here is one of them.

This blip has taken hours to post. My sister live in Connecticut and they have had to batten down their hatches for the big storm...Hurricane Irene. I know it will hit further south a lot harder, but it did make me recall tough times in sandstorms in eastern Africa with no power, no water and fuel shortages...and those were our daily lives!!!!

This bud rose reminds me of times to come - unfolded, uncertain and unrevealed. How exciting - !!
