Lofty ambition

Winchester cathedral ceiling.

Had to fly to Southampton and drive to Winchester today for a meeting, and managed a very quick half hour in the cathedral.
It's huge!

I have been in some impressive buildings before, but this is one of the most impressive, and even though I was runnung late and tired and stressed, there is something about being in such a beautiful peaceful place that refreshes the soul.

Sad that I only had half an hour, and I will be back.
