Hollyhock

Home at last! What a whirlwind 12 days I've lived through. I thought today about all the hats I've worn--mother of the bride, mother of my other children, grandma, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, wife. I have found solace in my wild flower garden today--the hollyhocks are so lovely. The sunflowers in the vegetable garden are pushing 7 feet tall--they make me smile! Yesterday as I put stuff away I looked outside to see Mama Deer and one of her babies eating the delicacies in my garden! They've had a heyday while we've been gone! I'm so glad to be home!
